Aug. 28. 2023 - The Village of Oak Park, in partnership with Metropolitan Mayors Caucus (MMC), is undertaking a community survey as a part of a housing planning process to examine the key housing challenges and priorities within our community. The feedback will be used to develop goals against which the Village can evaluate housing programs, policies and development outcomes.
The survey itself is completely anonymous and does not collect any identifying information. Some of the questions will ask about respondent's personal experience and some of these questions will ask about their perspective on housing across Oak Park.
The survey is available now on EngageOakPark.com.
Respondents will be asked to register on Engage Oak Park if you have not already done so. Registration is free and it promotes accountability, encourages users to provide more thoughtful responses and ensures that a broader set of backgrounds and perspectives are represented in the feedback the Village receives on all projects. This is critical to the Village's decision-making process. Finally, it allows participants to receive important updates and information about new ways to engage in the planning process.
All Oak Park residents and stakeholders are invited to take part in this planning process by completing this community survey and participating in a public meeting that will provide an opportunity to provide insight on Oak Park's key housing challenges and priorities. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 20 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Council Chambers (room 201) at Village Hall (123 Madison St.).
