Sept. 7, 2016 - Oak Park’s newest luxury apartment building, Vantage Oak Park, will welcome two tenants, both well-known in the Chicago area, to the first two floors of the building, which will fill the building’s commercial space.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants and Edward-Elmhurst Health have signed leases at 150 Forest Avenue, according to the development group Atlanta-based Wood Partners, Chicago-based international real estate development firm Golub & Company, and the Village of Oak Park.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant has signed a long-term lease for the entire ground-level space at Vantage Oak Park, plus an outdoor dining area. The Countryside, Illinois-based winery and restaurant chain, brings to Oak Park modern casual dining, which includes an extensive menu offering more than 75 items, full-service bar, private event space, and Napa-style tasting room and artisan market together in one space.
Edward-Elmhurst Health has signed a long-term lease for the entire second-level space at Vantage Oak Park to serve as an immediate care center and medical offices. Edward-Elmhurst Health is one of the largest integrated health systems in the Chicagoland area, with main hospital campuses in Elmhurst and Naperville, as well as locations across the western suburbs.
The 21-story, high-rise development features 270 luxury rental units, high-end amenities designed with style and convenience in mind, and a structured parking garage with 288 private and 300 public parking spaces. The public portion of the garage is owned by the Village of Oak Park.
Vantage is a transit-oriented development, conveniently located near both CTA and Metra stations, and provides for easy access to downtown Chicago by public transit and car.

July 29, 2016 - The first residents have started moving into Vantage Oak Park, the Village’s newest mixed-use development at 150 Forest Ave. by Lake Street.
While final construction and build-out continues on the upper floors of the 21-story high rise, residents began moving into apartments on floors one through six this month. More residents will begin moving into floors seven through nine in late July and early August, followed by a phased-in move-in schedule leading up to a grand opening on Sept. 20.
The 270-unit building features a rooftop terrace with grills and fire pits, a fitness center, lounge, clubroom and business center and conference room. Other ammenities include 24-hour self-service package pick-up, a smartphone video intercom system and a self-service pet wash, features expected to match the desires of targeted audiences.
In addition to studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, Vantage includes 25,000 square feet of retail space on the ground level and second floor fronting Lake Street.
The developers, Golub & Company and Wood Partners, and general contractor Tishman also built a 588-space multi-level parking garage in a redevelopment agreement with the Village of Oak Park. The parking garage, which opened in February 2016, has 288 private and 300 public parking spaces.

Sept. 22, 2015 - Executives from the companies building the mixed-use development at Lake Street and Forest Avenue in Oak Park joined officials from the Village of Oak Park today during a topping off event to mark a significant milestone for the $99 million project.
Vantage Oak Park is a 21-story mixed-use development that adds 270 rental apartments and approximately 25,000 square feet of retail and commercial space at a high-profile corner in downtown Oak Park. Vantage Oak Park replaces a Village-owned parking structure with a modern and more efficient 588-space garage that will significantly expand parking capacity in the area.

July 15, 2015 – The project now has reached six levels, with a seventh in the making. Crews recently spent about 14 hours jumping the crane, a process to make the equipment taller as the structure adds floors. The project remains on target to top out at 21 stories in September.
A temporary hoist has been installed on the side of the building to convey materials for roughing in services and finish work as new floors are added to the building.
Work also is well underway to provide electric, gas and fiber services for the $94-million project. The new utility services also will provide for future Lake Street area development needs as well as improve the reliability of existing utility services in the area.

Jan. 20, 2015 - All substructure construction is complete, including deep foundations, retention walls and water/sewer connections. Workers are installing a concrete support pad for a tower crane they will begin erecting Wed, Jan., 28. When the tower crane is erected, concrete work will begin and likely last until late summer 2015.
The crane, which will be approximately 250 feet tall and have an arm with a 150-foot horizontal radius, should be operational by Feb. 2 and remain in place until early fall 2015. A weather vane at the top of the crane will measure wind conditions to help ensure safety. The wind may cause the crane to rotate when not in operation, but should not be a cause for concern since this response is part of its safety design.
