Oct. 18, 2018 - Suburban Cook County voters can get a jump on the 2018 Gubernatorial General Election by casting an early ballot at Village Hall, 123 Madison St.
Early voting begins Mon., Oct. 22 at Village Hall and continues daily right up to 5 p.m. the day before Election Day, Tues. Nov. 6.
Village Hall hours for early voting are as follows:
- Monday – Saturday, Oct. 22 – 27: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 28: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Monday – Friday, Oct. 29 – Nov. 2: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 3: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 4: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 5: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Village Hall also will offer grace-period registration during early voting hours for those individuals who missed the registration deadline.
Valid identification is required to register during the grace period and a vote must be cast immediately after registration. A driver's license or picture ID is preferred, along with an addtional item such as a lease or utility bill with the current address.
Registered voters can also choose to vote by mail. To request a ballot, visit www.cookcountyclerk.com/elections, choose "Vote By Mail" in the left panel and fill out the application. The deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Nov. 1.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Voter registration cards with polling place information are sent out by mail in the month before the election.
