Park District, Township prioritize mental health
As the Community Recreation Center (CRC) prepares to open its doors this month, the Park District of Oak Park has worked closely with the Community Mental Health Board (CMHB) to continue the critical work of destigmatizing mental health. During the planning process for the facility, the entities entered into an agreement to house the CMHB inside the CRC offering access to mental health resources in a comfortable and convenient environment. Closely aligned more than ever, the Park District and CMHB will continue to explore and offer mental health events and programming based upon community need and interest.
