Friday, August 26, 2022  ::   Oak Park Police are investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon in the vicinity of Madison Street and East Avenue that left one man hospitalized. Officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired at around 1:10 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, a 26-year-old Chicago man was located with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his leg.

Sunday, July 24, 2022  ::   Oak Park Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday night in the 100 block of Lake Street. Officers responded to calls of shots fired at around 10:45 p.m. Saturday in the vicinity of Lake Street and Lombard Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, they found an unresponsive man lying face down near his vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds to the head and abdomen.

Wednesday, July 20, 2022  ::   The Oak Park Health Department is offering COVID-19 PCR and rapid testing several days each week at various locations in the community. All testing provided by the Health Department is free and insurance is not required.
